WORKSHOP ON HOW TO WRITE A WILL ON JUNE 28 BY DR. KOBAISY

A workshop has been organized on “How to Write a Will” on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the MDQ. The Workshop will start after salat al Asr and continue till salat al Maghrib. Well known Islamic scholar, Dr. Ahmad al Kobaisy is the resource person of the workshop. Registration fee is $ 10.00 each and light refreshments will be served to the participants.

Shaikh Saamir from the Muslim Youth Centre of New York will deliver Jumuah Khutbah on May 29,2009 at the MDQ at 1.15-1.45 pm. Shaikh Saamir will be accompanied by Shaikh Ramadan el Sabbagh who will lead salat al Jumuah,insha Allah.

Fund Raiser of the MDQ Academy is being held on Sunday, May10, 2009 at the Sterling's in Hicksville at 1.00-6 pm. Br.Rodwan Salih of ISNA will be the keynote speaker.Br.Rodwan is ex President of Islamic Society of Greater Houston, Texas.
Board of Trustees of the MDQ and its Executive Committee have appealed the community to generously contribute to educational programs of the MDQ Academy 

BEAUTIFUL RECITATION OF THE QURAN AT MDQ ON MAY 15

A galaxy of reciters (Qaaries) of the Quran from Egypt, Pakistan and North America will recite the Quran on May 15 after salat al Maghrib at the Masjid Darul Quran. Among these reciters are Qari Ramadan Saalih, Qari Waleed Batrawesh, Qari Hasan Salih and Qari Abdul Basit. Brother Jawad Ahmad of WHY ISLAM team will speak on FADAAIL AL QURAN. Dinner will also be served after salat al Asr.
