Dr.Mohamed Rida Beshir delivers Jumuah Khutbah at Masjid Darul Quran on Dec.02

Dr.Mohamed Rida Beshir, an outstanding author on Parenting and youth problems will give Jumuah Khutbah at Masjid darul Quran, Bay shore, New York on December 02, 2011.

Dr. Mohamed Rida Beshir with his wife has co-authored four best-selling books on family issues and parenting: “Meeting the Challenge of Parenting in the West, an Islamic Perspective”, “Muslim Teens, Today’s Worry, Tomorrow’s Hope, a Practical Islamic Parenting Guide”, “Blissful Marriage” and “Parenting Skills based on Qur’an and Sunnah,” as well as other parenting books in Arabic. Some of their parenting books have been translated to the French and German. Dr. Beshir is teaching two courses on the subject of parenting in North American society with the Islamic American University. He is a regular contributor to the family section of The American Muslim Magazine. He has also written articles for Islamic Horizons magazine as well as The Message magazine. He helped also as an adviser for the original Islam online website’s family section. Dr. Mohamed Rida Beshir is the recipient of the City of Ottawa Certificate of Appreciation for 2003 for his volunteer work in the area of Education.

Author of several best selling books on parenting Dr. Mohamed Rida Beshir is coming to Masjid darul Quran, Bay shore to present the Parenting Workshop on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (lunch will be available). Dr. Rida Beshir’s books on parenting will be available for purchase.
Dr. Rida Beshir will deliver Jumuah khutbah on Dec.2 at Masjid darul Quran on Family values. He will talk on " When the Muslim youth Rebels---Causes and Solutions". Dinner will be served.

3. 3rd Salat 10.00 am to be led by Imam Amin Abdul Latif
Takbeerat will start half an hour before each Salat.

MAULANA YOUSUF ISLAHI DELIVERING DARSE QURAN ON FRIDAY, OCT.14

HAFIZ ATIF ABBASI VISITS MDQ

Assalam o Alaikum WR, Brothers & Sisters

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Hafiz Muhammad Atif Abbassi will be arriving at MDQ this Thursday evening,(09/22/11..Insha'Allah).

He will spend weekend with us and will lead most of Prayers
including Jummah congregation. There is great enthusiasm in community for receiving Br. Atif and to enjoy his beautiful and heart warming recitation of Al-Qur'an at
Masjid Darul Qur'an, Bay Shore. Hafiz Atif will leave on September 25 for Macon, Georgia where he is Imam at the Islamic Center.
Hafiz Atif is doing Masters in Finance.He has led taraweeh at the Faisal Masjid, Islamabad, Pakistan.

DR. MUZAMMIL SIDDIQI VISITS MASJID DARUL QURAN ON SEPTEMBER 30

A distinguished scholar of North America, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi is visiting Masjid Darul Quran, Bay shore, Long Island, NY on September 30, where he will deliver khutbah of Jumuah and address the Family Night Program after salat al Maghrib. His topic is “Challenges in living in a non- Muslim society”. A brief introduction to Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi is given as under:

Born in India in 1943. Received his early education at Aligarh Muslim University and Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, India. Graduated from Islamic University of Madina in Saudi Arabia in 1965 with a higher degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Received M.A. in Theology from Birmingham University in England and Ph.D. in Comparative Religion from Harvard University in USA.
Dr. Siddiqi worked with many Islamic organizations in Switzerland, England and United States. He was the Chairman of Religious Affairs Committee of the Muslim Students Association in US and Canada. Dr. Siddiqi also served as Director of the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C. He served two terms (1997-2001) as President of the Islamic Society of North America with Headquarters in Indiana. Since 1981 He the Director of the Islamic Society of Orange County in Garden Grove, California. He is also the Chairman of the Shura Council of Southern California, an organization representing the Islamic centers, masajid and organizations in Southern California, He is the Chairman of the Fiqh (Islamic Law) Council of North America and a founding member of the Council of Mosques in US and Canada. He is a founding member of the Council of 100 of the World Economic Forum based in Switzerland. The Council is to foster dialogue and better relations between Islam and the West.
