The graduation ceremony of the Summer Camp 2008 will be held on Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 12.00 noon. Imam Shamsi Ali of Jamaica MuslimCenter will be the chief guest.This year 82 boys and girls of age 5 to 16 attended the camp from July 07 to August 05.The camp was held at the Masjid Darul Quran, Bay Shore, Long Island. Br.Jawad Ahmad, Br. Abu Riayadh, Br. Aleem , Br. Zareeni, Hafiz Noman Elahi , Sr. Zara Baig, Sr. Qudsia Chughtai, Sr. Sara and Sr. Samia conducted different classes. The participants of the Summer Camp have learned among other things, the salat, memorized duas and tajweed.

NEW PRESIDENT OF THE MASJID DARUL QURAN
Br. Surat Khan, Chairman Board of Trustees of the Masjid Darul Quran , Bay shore, New York has appointed Br. Athar Sohail as new President of MDQ with effect from June 21.2008. Br. Athar Sohail will alos be the chairman of Excecutive Committee. Br. Surat Khan also requested the Juma congregation to help and support the new President towards fulfilment of his responsibilities and meeting challenges.
SUMMER CAMP OF MDQ
The Masjid Darul Quran will organize the Summer Camp 2008 from July 07 to August 05,2008. The Camp will be from Monday to Friday. The classes will start at 9.30 a.m. and end by 2.30 p.m. Fee per student is $ 200.00.
The focus of the camp is to develop a strong Islamic personality of the students through different academic programs and sports activities.
